German Motherfucking Truck Simulator

If this isn't GOTY then I don't know anything about trucks.

But seriously, the only reason I played this game for as long as I did (which was the entire video length and not a second more) was because I was cleaning out my downloads folder, searching for a bad, yet playable game. Sadly all I found was bad and unplayable and I dont love you enough to do that to myself.

As mentioned in the video text, I'm cleaning out my Fraps folder so I'll be putting up a Killing Floor video (about 3-4 mins) and possibly a Metro 2033 video (nfi about timings yet). Sure both games have already been played/seen by anyone who uses youtube/steam/torrents but you know what? This is my channel and blog, not yours.

Not that anyone ever reads this anyway.

PEACE OUT.

Left4Dead 1 : I hate mountains

I Hate Mountains Trailer from NykO18 on Vimeo.

So I've been following this campaign for ages now, and it seems like it is finally almost out. I cant say much about it as I dont really know enough :P

However, it is from the same guys that made Portal: Prelude which is highly acclaimed, so whe it is out, give it a shot. Not like it costs you anything.

Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone

So holy shit guys, have you played Beat Hazard yet? Get the demo already and play that shit.

It's like Geometry Wars mixed with Audiosurf, which can only be a good thing. One thing to note is the warning at the start, it isn't just protecting itself, it is protecting you. Epilepsy sufferers should not be playing this at all, or even in the same room as someone playing it. Then again, if you have epilepsy, you probably also cant play Bejeweled or Tetris or Peggle, so not like you would even try play this game.

For this video I was originally going to play a commercial song, but realized that YouTube would take it down faster than I take down Chicken McNuggets. So I found buried in my music collection a song which I THINK is not-commercial, and even if it is, it is less likely to be taken down due to its relative obscurity.

Metal songs ARE harder than techno songs, in more ways than one, especially in this game. Some of you may have noticed that I pussied out and went Hardcore instead of Jedi. Sure I could have done 300 retakes of game play on Jedi before I had a sweet ass vid, but then, mixing in lag from Fraps and not much experience with Jedi, I went for Hardcore. Maybe just to shut you guys up I'll go Easy next time to piss you off.

So is it worth the asking price of $10? Fuck yes it is. But like all things, try it before you buy it. Also a check of the forums shows that the dev's may be adding in support for apple codecs soon too (possibly $1 DLC). So for all of those out there that convert their music or *snickers* buy it, you will probably be included soon too.

As for the Zombie Driver video, it's an error. I had to restart the whole level. That is all.

Also, soz with the lack of uploads, been doing shit. More to come in the next few days/weeks.

Mount and Blade / Just Cause 2 revisited

Sure it is hardly a revisit since it has been less than a week, but fuck you.

I figured 10 seconds is nowhere near enough time, so I upped a longer better video. Scorpio makes things go boom, then he grappling hooks the fuck out of there. That is basically the whole premise of the game from what I can see, just like #1. Go in kill someone/save some one, blow shit up, get the fuck out. Most missions are this, or similar to this, maybe a protect mission or two (god I hope not).

In all honesty, get the demo instead of watching videos of it. Much more fun and you can use the time re-starter/locker from GCW.

As for Mount and Blade, well I've had the game for months now and recently have gotten back into it. Lady Knights in NE make it that much better, saving little peasant women from the rapists and bandits and sea raiders and mercenaries, then training them and protecting them to be the strongest units in the game is a good feeling. Although I wish there was a difficulty level between "easy" and "normal", 1:1 damage is too hard for me, yet 0.75:1 is too easy. Guess when Warband comes out there may be a go-between but its doubtful.

Anywhoo, I have been considering narrating the videos a bit but it is quite a bit of work to do so, also I cant stand the sound of my own voice being played through speakers, it is too awkward for me, and I'm awkward enough already.
